The Italian manufacturer just told us that production is on the way. Nevertheless, due to the changes to the draft (especially on the body armor, the Lorica Segmentata), the output should be a little delayed. Thus, cohorts, centuries and maniples (which, like the old infantry, goes on foot, shod with their "caligae" hobnailed sandals, don't forget it) should invades the market at the end of May or early June ... According to Fabio Varesi, the long wait will be rewarded. We quote "The numerous pieces of equipment are made of metal in Italy with the highest standards used in the well known Italian jewellery !!!!"

Roman Britain was the part of the island of Great Britain controlled by the Roman Empire from AD 43 until ca. AD 410. The first extensive Roman campaigns in Britain were by the armies of Julius Caesar in 55 and in 54 BC, but the first significant campaign of conquest did not begin until AD 43, in the reign of the Emperor Claudius. The invasion force was led by Aulus Plautius. It is not known how many Roman legions were sent; only one legion, the II Augusta, commanded by the future emperor Vespasian, is directly attested to have taken part. The IX Hispana, the XIV Gemina (later styled Martia Victrix) and the XX (later styled Valeria Victrix) are attested in 60/61 during the Boudican Revolt, and are likely to have been there since the initial invasion.

Legio quarta decima Gemina (Fourteenth Twin Legion) was a legion of the Roman Empire, levied by Julius Caesar in late 58 B.C. The cognomen Gemina (twin in Latin) suggests that the legion resulted from fusion of two previous ones, one of them being the Fourteenth legion that fought in the Battle of Alesia, the other being the Martia (Martian) legion. The cognomen Victrix (victory) was added by Augustus following their service in the Pannonian War c. A.D. 9. The emblem of the legion was the Capricorn, as with many of the legions levied by Caesar.
